On Love Letters

When was the last time you received a love letter?

Hmm, I can't really remember either (Valentine's Day doesn't count).
I'm not terribly good at sending love letters but I do very well (if i may say so) at sending picture messages of poems, quotations and (really terrible) drawings to DPB. At least, he hasn't complained yet...

Anyway, what I really, really, really, really, REALLY wanted to do was draw your attention to the website The World Needs More Love Letters.

Well go on! Click on the link!

It's a brilliant idea and, like so many wonderful ideas, is beautifully simple: once you sign up to the mailing list, you receive a call for love letters. You're given a basic story behind the need for the letter and then... it's up to you. You have free rein to write your little heart out to a total stranger in need of love.
Awesome.
I've just written my first (TWO) letters AND made the cards myself (hmmm, yeeees, that wasn't so pretty... but it's the thought that counts). I can't wait to send them off tomorrow.

So go on. Spread the love.

And here's some love for you:

Oh Antoinette, yes, please do look at the site! It's such a wonderful idea to send someone a letter supporting them through a difficult time, or just letting them know that they're not alone. I think you should 'casually' suggest to your husband that you love the romance of a well-penned letter :-)
Thanks for your comment!xo
